Hitting the beaches

The Côte Vermeille stretches 20 km from Argelès-sur-Mer to the Spanish border just after the village of Cerbère offering nice villages, beaches, small bays, creeks and coves, and some fabulous walks and trails.

As a vibrant and active seaside resort, a 20 minutes drive away from the house, Argelès-sur-Mer (first picture) is a children's haven packed with activities, shops and restaurants. It offers 7 kilometres of clean, sandy beaches with lifeguards from June to September all the way down to Le Racou.

The beaches in and around Collioure (second picture) are very nice too though a bit more rocky and also the sandy beach after Port-Vendres (third picture) can be recommended. Our favourite beaches are marked on our map.

North of Argelès-sur-Mer, Saint Cyprien also has a large sandy beach and is offering sporting activities around the huge marina besides a golf course.
